Kitchen Ideas And Planning Advice:
Do you have a brochure showing examples of your latest kitchens?
We do indeed. Our 80-page kitchen brochure here at Harvey Jones showcases more than 40 of our favourite designs that showcase the huge variety of looks we can achieve for our clients and explains more about the way we work and how we make our kitchens. You can request your free kitchen brochure here
Is your kitchen design service free?
We offer a complimentary kitchen design consultation here at Harvey Jones, which you can find more details about here
Can you design a kitchen for an odd or awkwardly shaped room?
Certainly. All of our kitchens are made to order and we can adjust the height, width and depth of any cupboard we build so that it perfectly fits your space. This means we can make the very most of all the available space.
Do Harvey Jones design kitchens for small rooms?
We certainly do! We design kitchens for rooms of all sorts of shapes and sizes. We recommend speaking with your chosen kitchen company as early as possible when remodeling a small kitchen, as they will be able to make some helpful suggestions about the space you are planning. Many clients speak to us months, sometimes years, in advance of their project, and often before they have even engaged an architect so that we can discuss ideas for their space and bring the benefit of our expertise to the project.
What material should I choose for my kitchen counter?
We can source worksurfaces of any type from across the world. The best kitchen counter material for your project depends on the way you intend to use the surfaces, your budget and your aesthetic preferences. For instance, timber work surfaces are tactile and naturally beautiful, but we don’t recommend that they are used around wet areas. Our designers receive regular training and product briefings, so they are perfectly placed to advise you about suitable options for your project.
I’m a developer/contractor - would I be able to supply your products?
If you are a contractor or developer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your project and we will be in touch promptly.
Do you offer credit facilities?
We offer several payment options to help spread the cost of your new Harvey Jones kitchen. Details of our latest available finance products are available in all showrooms, and you can call 0800 389 6938 for full details.
How are Harvey Jones Kitchens made?
Harvey Jones kitchens are made using traditionally handmade techniques and are built by experience craftsmen in our Cambridgeshire workshop
. Every cupboard we make is a fully handbuilt piece of furniture in its own right – there are no ‘flatpack’ elements. Every kitchen we make uses in-frame construction, which is a tried-and-tested method which prevents the doors from dropping — the most common remedial issue with kitchens. You can see more about how we make our kitchens on our Videos
page, and by reading the ‘Why Harvey Jones?’ section of our website.
Do you supply worktops, appliances, sinks and taps?
We appreciate that every client’s project is different and so we can work according to your individual requirements. We can supply all appliances, worktops, sinks, taps and so on, so that everything arrives at your home at the same time to ensure a smooth installation. Alternatively, we can work with existing appliances you would like to retain or simply supply you our handmade furniture.
Do Harvey Jones sell appliances by themselves?
Unfortunately we can only provide appliances as part of full kitchen projects.
What colours are your kitchens available in?
There are no limits on the colours we can offer. One of the main reasons for our popularity is that all of our kitchens can be painted in any colour
you choose – giving you complete design freedom. It also means that the furniture can be repainted at any point in the future, should you choose to refresh your colour scheme.
Are all your kitchens painted?
Each of our ranges are available ‘primed for handpainting’, meaning that you can choose any colour for your furniture. In addition, our Shaker
Kitchen range is available in both oak and walnut. You might choose to have all of your furniture in one of these beautiful timbers. You can also mix and match timber with our painted furniture — perhaps using timber for the island or base cupboards whilst selecting painted cupboards in the rest of the room. Our designers will be delighted to discuss your ideas and preferences.

We supply every client with a booklet which explains everything you need to know about the installation of your kitchen, as well as kitchen care and maintenance tips after installation. Our cabinetry can be easily maintained using a damp cloth and a non-abrasive detergent, but some work surfaces require specific care – your designer will advise you on this accordingly.

We have built our business on satisfied clients and recommendations from previous customers, and we take customer service exceptionally seriously. At the start of your project, we supply you with the names and contact details for all parties that will be involved in your kitchen design and installation to ensure smooth and clear communication.
