Inspiration and Advice

We make your Harvey Jones kitchen to order, unique to your specifications.  This allows you huge scope for customising the furniture, and adding personal touches and details to make your new room truly individual.

Our designers will work with you to create a ‘wishlist‘ of elements that you’d like included in your new kitchen, and then they’ll set to work on designing the best layout solution for your space.   From there, there are many ways to stamp your personality on our furniture.

You might start by thinking about paint colours, as our furniture can be painted in any colour you choose.  Different tones on base and wall units can work really nicely, as can the introduction of timber elements.  Another increasingly popular trend is to paint the interiors of some open units in an accent colour.  You might even consider a bespoke paint finish

Handles and knobs are another easy way to completely change the look of our furniture, and we can point you in the right direction from an almost infinite number from around the world. Alternatively, if you’ve seen something you like elsewhere, you can even source your own.

Worktops and splashbacks are really important elements in the design and go a long way to shaping the overall look of the kitchen.  You might consider a bespoke glass design, or an environmentally-friendly recycled glass worktop.

Think about what you really enjoy in the kitchen, as this can lead you to great feature ideas.  If you’re a wine buff, a spectacular wine chiller (or even a cellar!) can be a great focal point.  Alternatively, if you’re a dab-hand with spices, an open shelf or drawer for displaying them looks lovely.

Have fun with the project, look around for inspiration and indulge your imagination.  Our gallery is a good place to start…
