Summer is the season for bringing people together, and your kitchen is the perfect place to craft everything from refreshing dishes to evening cocktails to host that dream summer party. A beautifully designed kitchen can serve as the heart of these moments, seamlessly connecting your indoor and outdoor spaces. But here’s the secret: if you want your kitchen to be summer-ready, the planning starts now, in winter.

Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Start

Designing and installing a bespoke kitchen takes time, care, and attention to detail. Starting now allows for a seamless process, ensuring your kitchen is ready to welcome family and friends when summer arrives. Early planning also gives you the freedom to make decisions without feeling rushed, ensuring every detail is just right for your lifestyle and home. Not to mention that a kitchen renovation can add between 5-15% to the value of your home.

Where To Start Your Bespoke Kitchen Journey

Each Harvey Jones kitchen is crafted with care and precision, and our process ensures every stage is executed to perfection:

  1. Showroom Visit: Your journey begins with a visit to one of our nationwide showrooms. Explore our stunning kitchen displays and start visualising your dream space. Find your nearest showroom
  1. Discovery Session: In a complimentary discovery session, our expert designers will explore your style, needs, and aspirations for your new kitchen.

Top tip: Don’t forget to bring along your wish list, any plans, or ‘must haves’ and an indication of budget so we can get a really good idea for how we can incorporate these details into your dream kitchen.

  1. Design Stage: Once we have everything that we need, we’ll go away and work our magic bringing your ideas to life. Through a series of meetings we’ll then discuss every detail of your new kitchen, from your cabinetry choice, to your handles and worktops of choice.

Stacey Cobley, Senior Designer says: “It is a huge responsibility to create something that is going to be a permanent fixture in someone’s home, so I take the responsibility seriously but have fun and be enthusiastic about it! I love what I do and there is nothing more satisfying than seeing all my hard work come together and for my client to be thrilled with what has been achieved.”

  1. Craftmanship: Once your design is ready for our workshop, we’ll hand you over to our expert Installation Co-Ordinator and Area Installation Managers who will work with you and your own contractors on all the details to ensure the perfect fit into your home and work in synergy with your project timeline.
  1. Hand-painted kitchens: You’ll already know our kitchens are hand-painted when you choose Harvey Jones, but you won’t believe the attention to detail of this process until our team is in your home applying the finishing touches to a kitchen that is truly yours.

This detailed process ensures your kitchen is crafted to the highest standard, creating a space that is both beautiful and functional. While this process can take as little as 12 weeks for some clients, factors such as planning permission or building work can extend timelines. Starting early allows ample time for any adjustments or unforeseen delays, ensuring your kitchen is ready for summer hosting.

A truly bespoke kitchen is tailored to your needs, but achieving this level of personalisation takes time. From selecting premium materials to choosing appliances that fit your lifestyle, every decision shapes your dream kitchen.
