Fuelled by our client’s desire for open plan living, this kitchen was part of a bigger renovation that transformed the ground floor of a 1920s home into an extended space fully equipped for family life. Keeping with the style of the rest of the property, our clients opted for a timeless Shaker design painted in contrasting hues. The confident use of emerald green provides a sense of opulence and is perfectly balanced by the white island and pale walls. Our client was studying interior design at the time of designing her kitchen and she has done a wonderful job at selecting the finishing touches for her dream kitchen space. The use of wooden flooring and American walnut island worktop bring warmth to an otherwise cool space and antique brass fittings add a rustic industrial twist. The aged bronze tap and brass stools are a subtle refined hint to the industrial theme and provide eye-catching features. The antique mirror splashback opens the room and contributes to the airy appeal of the kitchen.
