Guildford Kitchen Showroom: Meet the Team

24th October 2025

Our newly transformed Guildford kitchen showroom has opened its doors, and it’s much more than a place to browse kitchens. It’s an inspiring destination designed to guide you through your whole-home renovation journey.

Over the years, Guildford and its surrounding Surrey villages have transformed into a true interiors hub, home to a thriving mix of designers, artisans, and premium lifestyle brands. Nestled just off the historic High Street, our showroom sits right at the heart of this community. As a result, it has become a natural stop for anyone seeking timeless craftsmanship and fresh design inspiration.

Carefully laid out to maximise the space, the showroom showcases our bespoke kitchen designs alongside utility rooms, boot rooms, home offices and a walk-in larder. Every luxury design showcases how our cabinetry can accommodate various lifestyles, making it the ideal space to explore possibilities beyond the kitchen.

At the centre of it all are our talented designers, Hannah and Josh, ready to share their expertise and passion for creating spaces that truly work for you.

How would you describe the new Guildford kitchen showroom?

Hannah: “The showroom has been carefully designed to guide clients through their renovation journey. It’s full of inspiration, new ideas, and clever details that make the process enjoyable.”

Josh: “For me, it reflects everything Harvey Jones stands for: timeless quality, crafted to last. It’s a space that shows how traditional cabinetry can feel fresh and inspiring for years to come.”

Your favourite design in the showroom and why?

Hannah: “As soon as you walk into the showroom, you’re greeted with our live kitchen, complete with a split-level island. It balances traditional detailing with contemporary flair and feels like the heart of the home, a space for cooking, working, entertaining, and family life.”

Josh: “The corner larder. It introduces a new cabinet design that I believe will become a Harvey Jones classic. I love how it combines practicality and beauty, the kind of detail that excites me as a designer because I know how much clients will enjoy using it every day.”

Hannah: “Clients are braver with their choices. We’re seeing finishes like brushed brass and matte black, alongside bolder colour palettes. Josh adds, “Natural finishes are making a comeback, primarily oak and walnut. They bring warmth and sophistication to a space, without compromising on function.”

Are people designing beyond the kitchen?

Josh: “In Guildford, we’re spoilt for choice for local walking routes, so rooms beyond the kitchen are a real priority. Boot rooms are especially popular, and clients increasingly want the same quality and style running seamlessly throughout the whole home.” Hannah adds, “Over the past few years, spaces beyond the kitchen have become essential. Boot rooms, laundries, home offices and pantries are now firmly on clients’ ‘must-have’ lists. The more we live in our homes, the harder they need to work for us.”

One design detail every client should consider?

Hannah: “Avoid placing your main cutlery drawer directly under the hob. Having a separate drawer means one person can cook while another sets the table or unloads the dishwasher – it’s a small change that makes everyday life easier.”

Josh: “Always plan for generous walkways. Good flow and space to move are just as important as the cabinetry itself.”

One showroom feature people should notice?

“As Josh mentions, the walk-in larder. It’s beautifully designed, makes full use of corner space, and shows how practical can also be inspiring.” Hannah says. “The way we’ve used lighting. Recessed strip lighting, in particular, changes everything. It brings warmth to the cabinetry, highlights textures, and creates atmosphere. Good lighting elevates the design, and I always try to ensure it’s not an afterthought for my clients,” advises Josh.

A memorable kitchen moment?

Hannah: “Bathing my baby boy in the sink on holiday. It was spontaneous and joyful, and the start of many memories in the kitchen – now he often helps me prep dinner at home.”

Josh, passionate about the value in kitchen design, shares, “One of my proudest moments was completing a major international project that took months of design work. For me, the real reward is knowing a family will live and grow in a kitchen I’ve helped create; that passion is what drives me.”
