Our client knew exactly how she wanted her dream kitchen to look and feel, and after visiting other kitchen companies, knew Harvey Jones would allow her to take the lead in the design process to achieve her vision. Our client wanted to create a kitchen that blended seamlessly with her home’s character and eclectic mix of pieces. The result is a unique and inviting space that feels lived-in and homely, with an aged charm that will only grow more beautiful with time.
To maintain the kitchen’s charm and character, the cabinetry and appliances were kept minimal, to prevent the space from looking brand new and shiny. Hand-painted in a refined almost-black shade of green and adorned with brass handles to provide the perfect finishing touch. The ornate extractor hood is in keeping with the style of this kitchen which hides many shiny appliances. One of the kitchen’s most elegant features is the stunning Grigio Ghiaccio quartz worktops which provide an almost iridescent quality and cloud-like effect, which inspired the scalloped sink feature. The windowsill was crafted from the old door lintel, a perfect example of how our client’s desire for upcycling and reuse was woven within the kitchen’s design.
The hand-painted motifs created by our client, add another layer of personality and character to the space, such as the red-striped backsplash. Let us not forget the unique island, a vintage dough bin from France which adds to the kitchen’s history and one-of-a-kind story.
