Updating your Kitchen Colour

Our kitchens are cleverly crafted to suit your changing style and taste. If you decide to refresh your kitchen colour scheme, our hand painted kitchens allow you to change the colour of your furniture at a later point. You can also easily make other alterations, such as replacing the handles and worktops, to create an entirely different look, without the upheaval of having to fit new cabinetry.

Hand Painted In-Situ

One of the most significant advantages of in-situ hand painting is the ability to experiment with different colour schemes in your home. Harvey Jones’ skilled designers will guide you and give you the confidence that you are making the right decision after testing your colour in various lighting conditions and ensuring it works harmoniously with your entire kitchen space.

Long-lasting Finish

We achieve the perfect finish by priming all of our kitchen cabinets in a durable undercoat, before painting with two coats of premium, water-based paint in your choice of colours. This results in a stunning seamless finish that is both long-lasting, and easy to clean and maintain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kitchens can either be spray painted or painted by hand.  A spray painted kitchen is normally sprayed in a factory and touched up on-site, with the colour chosen well in advance of installation.

When a kitchen is hand painted in-situ, the final colour selection is usually done near the end of the project. We meticulously hand paint our kitchens on site after they have been installed, using high-quality paint and artisan craftsmen to provide a beautiful end result.

There are many benefits of hand painted kitchens, one being their durability, making them both a stylish and practical choice for your home. This finish can be easily sanded down and touched-up, or repainted entirely, allowing you to play with colour and future-proof your home.

Hand painting a kitchen offers more advantages than a spray painted one. Spray paint often looks plasticky, chips  easily and can’t be repaired as conveniently if damaged. In comparison, hand painting creates a completely seamless finish and can simply be touched up. Of course, it takes longer to paint by hand, but the showroom-standard finish is undoubtedly worth the time and effort.

"All of the Harvey Jones team were just simply amazing, Andy the installer, John who popped by to check that things were going to plan and last but not least the painting work from Jonny was just so precise, you can barely tell its been hand painted...impressive."
