Being an interior designer herself, our client thoroughly enjoyed the Harvey Jones design process, discovering her true design style while creating the dream kitchen for their family home. With a deep-rooted love for traditional kitchens that transcend passing fads and trends, she envisioned a space that would enhance her careful attention to detail and celebrate the beautiful lifestyle built for her family.
How It Looks:
Set within an orangery, timeless appeal echoes through every aspect of the space, with our Arbor design showcasing refined, subtle elegance. The delicate interplay of Scandi minimalism, country charm and classic British design truly define its character, framed by the beautiful glass lantern to the French doors. Creating a seamless indoor-outdoor family living space.
The striking green kitchen island steals the spotlight amidst the neutral perimeter cabinetry, adding a vibrant focal point to the entire space. Adorned with Aurora Calacatta Gold worktops to provide a contemporary layer, with the delicate and muted gold veining. Complemented by the antique brass handles and taps which enhance the timeless charm and illuminate the space.
An interplay of texture and tone achieves a harmonious balance, featuring subtle rugged elements in the natural tiling and tumbled stone. Additionally, the artisanal essence is skilfully incorporated through the use of tongue and groove detailing on the island, cabinetry edges, and extractor.
Alongside the smooth curves of the timber dining set, adding depth and softness to the space, ensuring that the Arbor kitchen strikes a harmonious balance between striking aesthetics and welcoming charm.
How It Works:
The L-shaped kitchen layout ensures an unobstructed view of the garden through the windows, keeping nature at the forefront of the design. With a central island accompanied by bar stools, it serves as an inviting hub within this open plan, seamlessly connecting with the adjacent dining table for family dinners or hosting guests.
For added functionality, the personalised larder accommodates kitchen appliances and neatly organised dry ingredients. Opting for plentiful drawers to store kitchen utensils and crockery neatly, and cabinet doors to hide those extra-large items. Oak interiors complement the kitchen’s bright charm and provide a warm and welcoming feel when opening any of the cabinetry doors.

Celebrating natural inspiration and weaving mixed materials, textures and colour with plentiful natural lighting even on the cloudiest of days. Delicate layers of design finesse are evident in the choice of wall sconces and pendant lighting to enhance the space.
